Recycling Initiative

Research has shown that nearly everything can be recycled for a purpose, whether it's to generate income or to be repurposed by someone in need. Yet, so much of what we throw away still holds value—it simply awaits a new chance, a new owner, or a new life. Our initiative was born out of a deep desire to reduce the staggering amount of recyclable materials that end up in landfills, harming our planet and our future. By using a variety of methods, we've found countless items that can be transformed, reused, or sold to those who need them.

The sheer volume of recyclable material available has made this not just an environmental mission, but a meaningful way to raise funds. In fact, over the past few years, we’ve seen this strategy help us cover recurring medical expenses, giving us hope that there’s a way to turn discarded items into something far more precious—support for our community. In 2018, we successfully processed over 200 plastic containers of sellable material, diverting waste from landfills and turning it into a source of healing and support. But our mission doesn't stop here. We dream of one day expanding this work, using it as a platform not only to help our own, but to support others who are struggling as well.

In the end, one person’s recyclables can truly be another’s treasure—a gift of hope, opportunity, and change.

Material we processed and sent to recyclable agent:

Aluminum Cans

Aluminum Cans

Aluminum cans are one of the most commonly recycled materials, yet they are used daily by consumers across the globe. On average, individuals use approximately 2.5 aluminum cans per day. Given their recyclability and widespread use, it is crucial that these materials are diverted from landfills and instead processed for reuse, helping to conserve resources and reduce environmental impact.

Books

Books

Books, textbooks, music, movies, and video games—whether for consoles or computers—are valuable assets. These items can often be shared, donated, or sold in retail outlets, offering opportunities for reuse and redistribution. What makes these items particularly unique is that, regardless of their age or condition, there is always someone, somewhere, who values them.

Wheel Rims

Wheel Rims

Wheel rims are a standard component on nearly every vehicle, large or small. For most vehicles, they serve both a functional purpose and, in many cases, an aesthetic enhancement. Like other vehicle parts, wheel rims should be properly recycled to maximize their value and minimize environmental impact.
